Welcome to Foodie Friday, where great recipes are always on the menu. I'm giving away a gorgeous garden basket--the winner will be announced next Foodie Friday. Today, some of my friends will be cooking recipes from A Teeny Bit of Trouble. I invite you to share a link to your blog post to my Facebook page--my publisher and literary agency have already Tweeted and shared Mary's fabulous post at Home Is Where the Boat Is. I can't wait to see what you all have been cooking, whether the recipes are "Teenified" or not.
Things have been a little wild at the farm. An injured goat is living in my foyer, and my husband brought home an orphaned baby duck--never a dull moment on a farm.
I wanted to thank everyone for helping me celebrate the publication of my new novel and for taking the time to share your favorite foodie memory. I enjoyed reading them so much.
Are you ready to hear about last week's contest? Six people won a copy of A Teeny Bit of Trouble.
Really Rainey
Jennifer Watkins-Jones
Lynn at Happier Than a Pig in Mud
Meredith at Mere Thoughts from a Mommy of Boys
Sue (Someone's Mom)
Whimsical Wonders Nursery
The winner of the KitchenAid mixer (and a copy of the novel) is...
Cathy at Wives With Knives.
Congratulations to all! Please email your address, and in the email header please put CONTEST. Thanks!
If you'd like to enter this week's contest, leave a note, explaining what you would do with a gardening basket.
Thank you for stopping by Foodie Friday today. If you are contributing a recipe to this week's linky party, locate the blue Inlinkz frog (below, left) and follow the instructions. You might notice a red "X" on your submission--only you can see the "X." It allows you to delete your link if you'd like to edit or change your photo.

ReplyDeleteHi Michael Lee, Congratulations on the publication of your latest novel. You are a truly creative soul and I do so admire how capable you are! I would love to win the gardening basket. I am a Master Gardener with many gardens on my property. There's always room to plant something more. I also noticed some pamper yourself goodies - what hard-working gardener couldn't benefit from that? Thanks for sponsoring FF and this giveaway.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
Congratulations on another entertaining book! I'm thoroughly & deliciously Teeny-fied, but what FUN!
ReplyDeleteI hope your injured goat is ok, did they cover goat injuries in nursing school? :)
Congrats to the winners!
Congrats to your winners!! To answer your question, I take that nifty garden basket when we move to our new home in TN. Yikes, it won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Michael Lee, on your book publication!! Congrats to all the winners, too. The gardening basket looks like a wonderful prize that any gardener would appreciate. I love all the goodies inside it, too!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Michael Lee on your book launch for A Teeny Bit of Trouble. I had so much fun creating my Spicy Peach Shortcake for Aunt Bluette. Your Garden Gift looks wonderful to me, my old bag is very worn from years of use and I would love to have a new one. Thanks for hosting us to a great party and have a fun day!

Congratulations on your book publication. It certainly sounds as though you have had one very busy week. The "Teeny" dishes all sound fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for all the winners! Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis new giveaway was meant for me!
I would take that sturdy garden tote with those great tools and head strait out to my veggie and herb garden. Later, when my tummy was grumbling I would come in for a snack... the pretzels along with my herbal infused water.
After I had been refreshed I would be in the mood to plant zineas my very very favorite summer flower!!!!
After a day digging in the dirt, even though I wore those ladylike and fashionable garden gloves, I would be covered from head to foot with good old mother earth and my muscles would be sore... so into the bath I would go enjoying the end of "a teeny bit of trouble" and soaking and scrubbing the day off with what looks like some great bath products.
I don't often say this... but I hope I win!!!! Sorry everyone!
Thanks for hosting Michael! I am taking my book with me when I have a little getaway soon! Can't wait to read it!
Yvonne

Congratulations on your book publication. I'm new to your site and will be looking up your books as I'm always interested in something new to read.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great crop of recipes here. And as for the gardening basket, I'd use it to prettify my yard, then sit in a chair in the shade and munch the goodies while admiring my work!
I love to garden and would find the garden basket to be quite useful. All the goodies inside looked so enticing. I think it would be like opening a stocking on Christmas morning.
ReplyDeleteWonderful giveaway, thanks so much!

This is my first time joining your party! I'd definitely enjoy your wonderful garden basket! I have a 2nd blog that is all about me and my backyard gardening!I'd get those seeds planted ASAP and the garden tools will always be a welcome! I can kick back and enjoy a snack with the pretzels and a cool drink! Afterwards I can clean up with the nice soap and brush I see in there! The lovely garden marker will look great near my arbor! Thanks for offering such a nice gift!
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had a goat in the house yet...but we've been close.
ReplyDeleteI have to be honest - if I won that basket, the first thing I'd do is try out the dipping pretzels....then I'd get to work!
I just moved into a new house (still haven't sold the old one) and haven't a single garden tool, have an empty pantry, couldn't even find a pencil this afternoon. I can use anything and everything!

Ah, gardening! I miss our little farm so badly since we moved in February, but my hubby is trying to help help create a little backyard garden that is a mixture of veggies and flowers. A garden basket would just totally brighten my day, especially if it has more seeds to add to my plantings! =)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Congrats to the winners!!!
ReplyDeleteAND if I won that basket, I would sit and admire it, much too busy to pull the weeds that are currently taller than my irises!!!
Thanks so much for having me today! I see you are as busy as usual...you are amazing Michael Lee!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a wonderful weekend,
Natasha in Oz
A goat in your foyer and a sick duck? Never a dull moment at your farm. Congratulations to the winners and to Cathy who won the mixer.
ReplyDeleteI've brought baked chicken with lemons and olives to Foodie Friday. Thank you very much for hosting. ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Michael Lee, on the publication of your new novel! You are such a wonderful and prolific writer and you must be very excited to see Teeney now become a book series. I am hoping a movie or TV show will spin off from your popular books.
ReplyDeleteSorry I haven't been around to contribute to FF or enter your contests -- even this post is late! My life has been turned upside down since my Mom passed away and I'm also been preparing for my daughter's wedding next month. I hope when all quiets down I'll be around more often. Congrats to all your winners!
This summer I will be planting a vegetable garden for the first time. I am looking forward to this change and the beauty of it.
ReplyDeleteA garden filled with delightful flowers of all types, the more colorful the better. I love the beauty at this time of year.

Thanks for the chance at the gardening basket. I just bought my tomato plants today. We haven't passed the danger of frost yet, but we are about a month ahead due to the mild winter so I am going to be wild :) and chance it!
Congratulations again, ML, and thanks for being such a gracious host!
congrats to last weeks winners!!! I can't wait to read your book sounds like fun!!! to answer your question it would be fun to use while working in my flower garden!!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners and your newest book!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the brand of the seed packets in the basket? The packets alone are gorgeous!
What a nice gardening basket! It's also Earth Day on 4-22. It's would be nice to do some gardening. Honestly, I'm not good at gardening and don't have a green thumb. My neighbor and I shared a small front yard area and she always took care of the plants for me. If I won, I'll give this basket to her as a thank you gift to always take good are of the plants for me. :) I know she's going to put good use of it and will love it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting this. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win, just bought my sunflower and zinnia seeds today,, love love love your books!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the publication of your new book. Looking forward to reading your book at the beach in two weeks. If I win the gardening basket with all the wonderful goodies, I will take it to my daughter. I have been gardening for many years and she is just starting. She really needs the tools. She and her family recently moved from Louisville, KY to Villa Rica, GA. Their new home has a large yard. Over the Easter weekend she, her husband, their four children, my husband and I worked for 3 days in their yard. She still has several empty flower beds, so the seeds would be a great help. Best wishes to your injured goat and I hope the baby duck has found a new home.
ReplyDeleteHi Michael Lee - I'm happy beyond words to have won the Kitchenaid Mixer in your giveaway. My old mixer (35 years old as a matter of fact) needs to be retired and I'm thrilled to have a new one that will probably last the rest of my life. I couldn't get along a single day in my kitchen without my KA. I emailed you several times but have a feeling it didn't go through. Please let me know at cathrnfrly@aolcom if you didn't receive my mailing address. Many, many thanks, Cathy.
