If you are participating in FF this week, please add your info to Mr.Linky. I won't be around at all, as Mister had a reaction to anesthesia and is now in an emergency vet hospital. As yall know, Mister is my heart. I'm just beside myself.
Prayers for your precious Mister. You are a saint for putting up FF for us under these circumstances. Blessings to you and your family. Pray everything turns out well!
I am so sorry to hear this....your plate sure is full right now. I will pray and am sending you hugs and GOOD wishes for Mister and you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, pinky
Oh my goodness! I do hope Mister will be just fine! With all the ailments at your house - sounds like you're the "last man standing" -- goodness when this is all over you need to lock yourself in the bathroom with a tub of bubbles and a big bottle of wine!
Sending my thoughts and prayers for Mister! Thank you for hosting this event. I'm new to blogland and decided to join the party. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
Michael--I couldn't be praying any harder if Mister was one the family--because I know he IS. I hope you can feel all the love and prayers going out to you right now. Please let us know!
* I just heard, dearest Michael... My heart, as well as Jim's, is with you, you know that... and our Belle is going to air-mail her Mister some healthy, get well hugs... I will sincerely pray for him tonight, honey. And for you & the rest of the family. I know your heart is breaking. Pray.
Oh, thanks so much for your well wishes and prayers. They have worked. Last night, our vet took Mister home with him, and he called at 1 am and said Mister needed to go to an emergency vet clinic; he was having trouble breathing and needed oxygen. He said it didn't look good, that Mister might not make it to the hospital (1 hour away). My husband and Bandy tried to leave the house without telling me. They thought it was the end. The emergency hospital asked for a DNR (do not resusitate) order, and Dr. G said NOOO! They got home at 4 am. So, we waited. At 8 am, the new vet called and said he'd honestly thought Mister wouldn't make it through the night. But he did, by some miracle. When an emergency vet tells you it's touch and go, you've got to worry. Mister was still in the oxygen crate, couldn't leave him out for a second. But they were pretty sure he'd aspirated. Later, Mister was able to leave the oxygen crate for an X-ray. He tolerated that well. He was able to take medicine at 4pm by mouth. Tonight, he's sitting in his crate, and they think he will make it!!!! He only licked a little food (which is not like my Mister), but it looks like the vets pulled him through and he'll be home with us in a few days. Course, anything can happen (and we've had a really terrible summer--like, trouble attracts trouble), but we're all praying he's on the mend. I don't think I will ever allow any more of our pets to undergo anesthesia. Please keep those prayers coming. Hugs to all!
Michael--I had to check back--so glad I did. I am so glad Mister is better. Our prayers got special delivery attention. Hope he is home in no time! You deserve some rest :)
Hi Michael, I was sad to read that Mister was poorly but then further down saw the update & am so pleased that he is getting better. Thank you for hosting FF despite the stress & worry you are all going through, I'll be thinking of you today with fingers crossed. a bientot Maggie in Normandy.
Oh my gosh! Just said a prayer for Mister!! What a terrible ordeal...my "Buddy" is my baby and I'd be beside myself too. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Mister. L~
We have 4 babies of our own, a couple have constant medical needs so I totally understand how difficult this is for you. The anesthesia always scares me so much. My Bella Jeanne had a bad reaction last time and I was a total wreck. She, on the other hand, just wanted some pain pills. Ha! Once she got those, she was in great shape. The vet thinks the anesthesia made her achy.
I am praying along with everyone else for a full, speedy recovery. I must say I admire your dedication to keep the blog carnival going anyway. This is one of my favorites as it brings people from all different places.
Gollum, I am praying for Mister as I type. I pray that he completely recovers and is soon back home with his mama who loves him. Hope your own mama is feeling much better.
Dear sweet friend...I am so sorry to hear about your precious husband. I will send out positive thoughts and keep him in God's light. I hope we hear good things soon!
I am thinking of and praying for your family and your precious furry friend, Mister. When my vet suggests that a teeth cleaning is in order, I tend to put it off as long as I can, since they need anethesia for that procedure. We lost 1 pet 3 years ago due to old age, and I don't want to go thru that again for a very, very long time. I was happy to read that Mister seems to be getting better. All of blogland is sending prayers. Very Sincerely, Carolyn Ericson
We talked to the emergency vet tonight, and Mister can come home in the morning. A million thanks to all who sent up prayers for the little guy. Mr. Mister is coming home!
This is one time that I'm glad to be late getting to a blog posting! I got the good news immediately after I read the bad news! Thank God Mister is doing well. I did say a prayer for him just to be safe, but it sounds like the prayer warriors have already done their job! I know you are worn out after all of the stress and worry. I hope you are resting now. laurie
You've had such a horrible time of it lately. It certainly is good news that adorable Mister is coming home. I hope clear skies will now be the order of the day.
That's wonderful news that Mister is coming home. I thought about the poor little guy all last night, and wanted to check this morning to see if there were any updates.
What were they thinking do not resesucate?!!! Happy to read that Mister will be back home where he belongs. Yes, I always worry about teeth cleaning because of the anestesia. I don't know much, but I have them use the lighter anestesia? Mine are now 11 and 10 so I'm very apprehensive. I don't do shots anymore. I've researched it and they've had plenty. hugs, penny and the poodle girls
Oh sweetie, I'm sorry to hear Mister is having some troubles. I know how we are when it comes to our pets. My thoughts and prayers are with you darling. I hope today finds him doing a bit better..
