Tablescape Tuesday: Monkey Business

I couldn't decide which dishes to use for Tablescape Tuesday. I believe I've shown most everything (except for the Bethany Lowe dishes, and the gray ones, of course). Then I remembered some dishes I hadn't unpacked.

But first, I placed candles around the white tureen. And I put the tureen on a green Bordello platter.


Next, I added my monkeys.

And "Monkey Business" was born.

I've showed this little jug before, but he's so cute, I decided to use him today.


I love the detail on the tureen.

Here's a close up of the old silver. I love to mix it.

Several years ago, I bought little bobeches for the candlesticks. You'd never know they're plastic.

Some of the candlesticks were my mothers.

The silver was bought one piece at a time at tag sales.

I have a weakness for midcentury pottery, and I love the old Metlox "Sculpted Zinnia."

I paired it with green Depression glass.

The ecru napkins looked blah. I tried florals, and they were too wild. The green Thanksgiving napkins (K mart) look much better in person (not quite so dark), but I do wish I had a flirty plaid.
I get lost looking at crystal.
